About the Asian Mentoring Committee:

The Asian Mentoring Committee (AMC) is a BBBS of NYC Affinity Group dedicated to providing support to Asian and Pacific Islander communities, especially recent immigrant families navigating the transition to life in New York City.

Volunteers in the AMC are committed to delivering socially conscious and culturally relevant support to immigrant and first-generation Chinese and Korean youth engaged in our New American Program (NAP) by celebrating their cultures, backgrounds and identities.  AMC is focused on recruiting mentors who identify as Asian & Pacific Islanders, raising awareness, as well as creating partnership events with organizations such as the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) & the Taiwanese American Professionals (TAP).  Their leadership of the annual AMC Night Market enables BBBS of NYC to access critical funds that support our New American Program in igniting potential in Asian & Pacific Islander identifying youth.
